The closure problem, which Valorant players rarely encounter, can occur due to many problems. The problem of sudden shutdown or crash while playing the game can also be encountered after reopening the game. If you are facing such a problem, you can find the solution by following the steps below.

Why Is Valorant Shutting Down?

Usually, the reason for Valorant's sudden shutdown is due to the crash of the Vanguard system running in the background. Another reason is that such a situation may arise due to the detection of any 3rd party software on your computer. The antivirus program may be blocking the Vanguard software and may also be preventing you from entering the game by creating a crash. Many problems like this may bring errors and may not open the game. If you are facing such a problem, you can solve the problem by performing the following steps.

How To Fix Valorant Shutdown Issue?

In order to solve the Valorant shutdown problem, we will try to solve it by talking about a few methods.

1-) Turn off Riot Vanguard

After getting this error, the first thing to do is to turn off Riot Vanguard, which is running problematic in the background. We will need to completely terminate the Riot Vanguard system running in the background with the help of a task manager.

  • Open task manager.
  • By showing more details on the Processes screen, we click on the Vanguard user-mode service and Vanguard tray notification application and press the End task button.

After this process, try to open the Valorant game. If Valorant Vanguard does not restart your system, it will prompt you to restart the computer. After this process, you can try to open the game by restarting the computer.

2-) Reinstall Vanguard

Riot Vanguard may be damaged. For this, we can easily uninstall and reinstall the Riot Vanguard system.

  • First, let's access the "C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard" file. (The file access of your Fix game must also be in the C:\ folder.)
  • Let's open the uninstall.exe program and perform the deletion process. (Let's say yes to the warning that appears.)
  • Let's run our VALORANT game on our desktop.
  • Launcher will scan for missing files and reload and reinstall vgc in services status.

After this process, since Vanguard is reinstalled, Launcher will ask you to restart the computer. Restart your computer and open the Valorant game to see if the issue persists.

3-) Automate VGC Service

You may encounter such a problem because the Vanguard system does not fully work when you restart your computer. For this, we can solve the problem by taking the vgc service to automatic.

  • We write Services in the Start search bar and open it.

  • In the opened Services window we find vgc service and double-click it.
  • On the screen that appears, we will need to start the service status by changing the startup type to Automatic.

  • After performing this operation, the service status will appear as "Running".

After this process, you can restart your computer and log in to the game.

4-) Check the Antivirus Program

If none of the above suggestions have resolved it, there may be an issue with the antivirus program. For this, check the antivirus program to see if it blocks software created by Valorant or Riot Games. If you can't control it, try to run the game by completely deleting the antivirus program.
